In the period 2016-2018 elections for councilors were held in all Municipal Assemblies in Montenegro, and re-elections in six municipalities were held in the period 2019-202. years. Elections for members of Parliament were held in 2016 and 2020, and elections for the President of Montenegro in 2018.

In this period, a total of € 11,057,997.58 was spent in election campaigns, while € 55,549,878.11 was allocated for financing regular work and election campaigns from public sources.
