Director of the Agency for Prevention of Corruption Jelena Perović with associates and member of the Council Zlatko Vujović met with the delegation of the Embassy of the United States of America in Podgorica, led by Jessica Carl, director of the legal program of the Department of State's Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL).

During the conversation, the director of the Agency introduced the guests to the efforts and activities of this institution in the prevention of corruption and protection of public interest, which was recognized by the European Commission in its latest report on the progress of Montenegro.

The representatives of the Agency underlined once again that they encourage the amendment of the legislative framework and that they are ready to give their full contribution in that process, including consultations with the non-governmental sector and other partners.

With gratitude expressed for the successful cooperation so far, it was agreed that the Agency will provide the Embassy with more detailed information on projects related to the improvement of the information system and PR strategy, with the hope that the US Embassy will support certain segments of the planned activities.
