The decision on the amount of membership fees was submitted by 46 political entities

The Agency for the Prevention of Corruption conducted the supervision over the compliance with the legal obligation for political entities to submit a decision on the amount of membership fees for 2020 to the Agency by the end of January at the latest.

The Agency determined that the decision on the amount of membership fees was submitted to this state body by 46 out of a total of 59 political entities, which are subjects to this legal provision.

Therefore, in the supervision procedure, it was determined that 13 political entities did not submit a decision on the amount of membership fees to the Agency. The Department for Control of Financing of Political Entities and Election Campaigns will propose the initiation of misdemeanor proceedings against eight entities that did not fulfill their legal obligation, and for the other five entities the Agency submitted to the competent ministry a request for establishing the facts on possible deletion from the register of political entities or determined that political entities are in the process of closing down, which is in progress.

In accordance with the Law on Financing of Political Entities and Election Campaigns, the Agency published decisions on the amount of membership fees of political entities on its website within seven days from the day of receipt. Also, the Agency publishes data on the status of fulfillment of the obligation to submit a decision on the amount of membership fees of political entities.
