Meeting of the Director of the APC and the President of the OECD Working Group on Bribery

The meeting was convened on the sidelines of the expert meeting of the Anti-Corruption Network for Eastern Europe and Central Asia (ACN) regarding the report on the effectiveness of anti-corruption measures in these two regions.

The Director of the Agency for Prevention of Corruption (APC), Jelena Perović, had a discussion with Drago Kos, the President of the OECD Working Group on Bribery in International Business Transactions, in Paris, where she was participating in the Global Anti-Corruption & Integrity Forum hosted by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD).

The former head of the Slovenian Commission for the Prevention of Corruption (CPC), and later, the Group of States against Corruption (GRECO), provided expert support in establishing a preventive anti-corruption legal framework in Montenegro.

During the meeting, Director Perović informed President Kos about the recent activities of the Agency and the efforts to make a meaningful contribution to Montenegro's progress in the European Union accession process through transparent, non-discriminatory, and law-based actions.

Supporting such an approach, President Kos expressed satisfaction with the achieved results of the APC. Additionally, he inquired about the announced amendments to the Law on Prevention of Corruption, which were initiated by the Anti-Corruption Committee of the Parliament of Montenegro.

The meeting took place on the sidelines of the expert meeting of the Anti-Corruption Network for Eastern Europe and Central Asia (ACN) in relation to the report on the effectiveness of anti-corruption measures in these two regions.
