At the meeting held in the Chamber of Economy, it was assessed that there is significant room for improving the cooperation between the two institutions, especially in terms of raising awareness when it comes to the legal framework and procedures in the field of preventing corruption.

President Drakić presented the scope and work of the umbrella institution of the Montenegrin economy, as well as the current activities that are being carried out, and pointed out that the Chamber, among other things, works intensively on improving the business environment through the amendment of legal regulations and remains focused on providing support to the economy.

Director Perović pointed out the Agency's efforts and actions in the prevention of corruption and protection of public interest, which were recognized by the European Commission in its latest report on the progress of Montenegro.

According to her, the Agency can help businessmen to recognize corruption risks much more easily and work together to successfully eliminate them.

One of the areas of cooperation could be familiarization of the business community with the future legal framework on lobbying, and she suggested organizing trainings on that topic.

The two parties reached an agreement that in the coming period, special attention should be given to education about the institute of reporting threats to the public interest, which points to the existence of corruption, in order to help all economic entities to recognize corruption risks, and in accordance with that, the joint organization of educational workshops was agreed upon.

The Vice President of the Chamber of Economy Dragan Kujović, Director of the General and Legal Affairs Sector at CEM Bojan Jovović, and Assistant Director of the Agency for Prevention of Corruption Boris Vukašinović also took part in the meeting.
