The APC participated in an anti-corruption workshop organized by UNODC in Vienna

The goal of the gathering was to identify areas of cooperation and exchange experiences and best practices in the prevention and fight against corruption.

The Director of the Agency for Prevention of Corruption, Jelena Perović, and the Deputy Director, Nina Paović, participated in a regional workshop on enhancing cooperation between anti-corruption bodies and supreme audit institutions. The workshop took place in Vienna from May 31 to June 2.

The event was organized by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) as part of the Abu Dhabi Declaration Program. In addition to Montenegro, whose delegation included representatives from the Special State Prosecutor's Office and the State Audit Institution, institutions from Albania, North Macedonia, and Serbia also participated in the workshop.

The purpose of the gathering was to identify areas of collaboration and exchange experiences and best practices in preventing and combating corruption.

Presenting UNODC's anti-corruption protocols, the organization's speakers encouraged institutions from the region to cooperate more closely, thus improving the effectiveness of their efforts.

During their presentation, the leadership of the Agency highlighted the changed approach that has led to Montenegro's progress in the fight against corruption, and they acquainted their colleagues from the region with the tools used in their work and the plans for the upcoming period.
