The Agency initiated ex officio data verification procedures related to the functions performed by public officials who took office on the basis of the election result.

In addition, the Agency verifies whether these public officials have fulfilled the obligations prescribed by the Law on Prevention of Corruption, which, inter alia, relate to the submission of income and asset declarations or notifications to the Agency, and provision of accurate and complete data in the declarations.

The Agency performs verifications for all officials who took public office on the basis of the election result, including all MPs and councillors, and will adopt appropriate decisions in accordance with the established facts.

The Agency reminds that, regardless of the fact that some NGOs have submitted requests for initiation of the mentioned procedures, this institution has already initiated ex officio procedures.
