Meeting of the Agency's management with the Head of the Regional Anti-Corruption Initiative Secretariat

Staying committed to international cooperation as one of the pillars of institutional development, President of the Council of the Agency for Prevention of Corruption Momcilo Radulovic, Director of the Agency Jelena Perovic, Assistant Director Boris Vukasinovic and Head of the Department for International Cooperation, Standards and Public Relations Marina Micunovic met with the Head of the Secretariat of the Regional Anti-Corruption Initiative Desislava Gotskova and Aneta Arnaudovska, Senior Anti-Corruption Adviser.

The President of the Council presented to the guests the activities of the Agency, as well as the efforts and determination to make full use of anti-corruption capacities in difficult operating conditions, and makes a visible contribution to protecting the public interest and affirming the rule of law.

In addition to information on recent RAI projects, the Head of the Secretariat informed her interlocutors about the status of the International Treaty on Exchange of Data for the Verification of Asset Declarations, signed by representatives of Montenegro, Serbia and Northern Macedonia on March 19, 2021, which is yet to be ratified in Parliaments of these three states.

Recognizing the space for improving mutual communication and cooperation, the interlocutors stated that a joint appearance in contacts with international partners, primarily the European Commission, would be of mutual interest and could lead to a synergistic effect.

The Regional Anti-Corruption Initiative (RAI) is an intergovernmental regional organization based in Sarajevo, dedicated to the fight against corruption in Southeast Europe, and includes nine member states: Montenegro, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Moldova, Northern Macedonia, Romania and Serbia.
