The Agency for the Prevention of Corruption has adopted the Control and Monitoring Plan for the election campaign for the elections that will be held in Nikšić on March 14, and in accordance with this Plan, controls and monitors compliance with legal provisions during the campaign. The Agency pays special attention to the use of public resources in the campaign, i.e. compliance with the prescribed prohibitions and restrictions when it comes to employment, budget spending, social and other benefits.

Four seven-day reporting periods have passed in which the authorities, subjects to the law, reported to the Agency on the use of public resources in the campaign, i.e. submitted reports to the Agency from their accounts, excerpts from the state treasury and analytical card on budget reserve spending, data on social benefits distribution, employment decisions and other documents and reports. All data and reports are available on the website of the Agency and subjects to the Law. These reports are regularly checked and analyzed by authorized officials of the Agency.

In accordance with regular activities, authorized officials of the Agency are currently in the Municipality of Nikšić, where they monitor and control social benefits reported to the Agency in the previous period, i.e. control all supporting documents on the basis of which social benefits and material benefits were paid from the current budget reserve and transfers of one-time financial assistance in the period from January 5, 2021 until today.

The Agency will, as soon as possible, control the entire mentioned documentation and inform the public about the outcome of that control.
