Strong support for the efforts of the ASK

After the meeting with the ASK, the COELA expressed its strong support to the Agency for Prevention of Corruption (ASK) in the pursuit of concrete results in the prevention of corruption and in the complete process of accession

Implementation of the measures and activities arising from the negotiation process with the European Union is a priority in the work of the Agency for Prevention of Corruption, said the director of the Agency Sreten Radonjić at a meeting with the members of the Working Party on Enlargement and Countries Negotiating Accession to the EU (COELA), a working body comprised of the representatives of all 28 member states of the EU.

Radonjić informed the members of the COELA on the level of implementation of the measures from Chapter 23 (Judiciary and Fundamental Rights) which is assigned to the Agency and noted that this body has been implementing the measures within their competence. He presented the Agency’s administrative capacities and what has been achieved since its establishment: the structure of the decisions, opinions, resignations and removals in the field of prevention of conflicts of interest and checking the property of public officials, concrete results in respect of the rules of financing of political entities and the election campaigns after conducting control measures by the ASK, as well as the results in the areas of protection of whistle-blowers, integrity plans, anti-corruption assessment of regulations, international co-operation and education of the public.
