Feb. 10, 2021

Continuing intensive communication with international partners, the Director of the Agency for Prevention of Corruption Jelena Perović and the President of the Council Momčilo Radulović held an online meeting on Friday, February 5, 2021 with the Chairman of the Bulgarian Commission for Prevention of Corruption and Illegal Assets Forfeiture Sotir Tsatsarov and his associates and the Ambassador of the Republic of Bulgaria to Montenegro Meglena Plugtschieva Alexandrova and her Deputy Vassil Durev.

Representatives of the two institutions exchanged experiences and good practices in common areas of work such as conflicts of interest, verification of reports on income and assets, giving opinions on anti-corruption regulations, risk assessment, adoption of integrity plans and conducting educational activities with the aim of raising public awareness of the importance of corruption prevention.

The Agency's executives were interested in the experience of the Bulgarian Commission in issuing opinions on anti-corruption regulations, as this segment of work needs to be further improved. On the other hand, the members of the Commission were interested in the Montenegrin Law on Lobbying, because the legal regulation of that area is yet to be legally regulated in the Republic of Bulgaria.

Exchange of relevant data in these areas, as well as the possibility of study visits if the pandemic situation allows was agreed at the meeting.
