At the meeting of the Working group for monitoring the election campaign for the upcoming parliamentary and local elections in five municipalities, held on 20 August, the previous work of the Agency in the field of control and transparency of the election process was presented.

In addition to Agency’s officials, the meeting was attended by the representatives of the NGO Center for Democratic Transition (CDT) and the NGO Center for Monitoring and Research (CEMI).

The representatives of the Agency presented the findings of the field control performed on 19 August at the Employment Agency of Montenegro, where the Active Employment Policy Programmes were controlled. The record on the performed control was published on the Agency's website, in the section “Parliamentary and Local Elections 2020“.

Field controls of the Postal Service of Montenegro, Plc., the Montenegrin Electricity Transmission System and the Railway Infrastructure were announced.

It was concluded that the meetings of the Working group remained open for all non-governmental organizations interested in the control of the election process, and that the next meeting would be held in the period from 24 to 28 August.
