Meeting Held between APC Director and US Ambassador to Montenegro

In the meeting, importance of the support provided by the Embassy to the Agency in several areas of work of this state body was emphasized

Director of the Agency for Prevention of Corruption Mr. Sreten Radonjić met US ambassador to Montenegro Judy Risling Reinke.

The Agency’ s director informed ambassador Reinke about competences and key results of the work done by the Agency in the previous period, as well as about priorities set in 2019. The director also expressed gratitude for continuous support of the embassy to capacity building of the Agency through the provision of expert and other forms of assistance in various segments of the work done by this body.

In the meeting, particular importance was attached to the expert assistance given by the Embassy to the Agency in several areas of the work done by this body including protection of whistle-blowers and control of financing political parties and election campaigns, while support to improving IT system of the Agency was stressed as well.

Director Radonjić and ambassador Reinke discussed modalities of future cooperation between the Agency and US Embassy whose goal is to further improve efficiency of the work done by the Agency and raise awareness about prevention of corruption in the Montenegrin society.
