Press release: APC Director Mr. Sreten Radonjić took participation in the Workshop of Anti-Corruption Authorities in Trieste

Director of the Agency for the Prevention of Corruption (APC), Mr. Sreten Radonjić, took participation in the Workshop of Anti-Corruption Authorities, which was held at the Government building in Trieste, within the framework of the Berlin Process, on the day of the Summit of Heads of Governments and States participants of the Berlin Process. The workshop was chaired by the President of the National Anti-Corruption Agency of the Republic of Italy, Mr. Raffelo Cantone, which implements IPA project “Support to the Implementation of Integrity measures” jointly with the Agency.

The workshop presented the legislative and institutional framework, as well as previous results and challenges in the areas of: the prevention of corruption, integrity, public procurements, transparency, the conflict of interests and whistleblowers’ protection.

In addition, further forms of cooperation have been agreed, to be formalized through the adoption of the Joint Declaration of Western Balkan Countries and Italy. Concrete steps concerning regional cooperation in combating corruption will be precisely defined in the period to come.
