Draft Code of Ethics Prepared for Representatives of the Highest Levels of Executive Power

The Agency for Prevention of Corruption, in cooperation with the representatives of the Secretariat-General of the Government of Montenegro and with support of the Council of Europe experts, has prepared a draft Code of Ethics for holders of the highest functions of executive power, with Guidelines in the field of ethics and integrity.

That activity is part of the project for fight against economic crime "Horizontal Facility for Western Balkans and Turkey", a joint initiative of the European Union and the Council of Europe for South-East Europe.

In addition, the employees of the Agency who will be in charge of education on ethics and integrity of the representatives of executive power, members of the Government and their advisors, underwent the training for trainers on the mentioned topics, which was held in Kolasin on 26 and 27 November.

In its preventive action, the Agency remains committed to the intensive consultative and educational role, especially when it comes to public officials of all three branches of power, executive, legislative and judicial, at the central and local levels, affirming the highest ethical values and standards and ensuring, through established mechanisms, the respect for personal and institutional integrity, and thus the integrity of the public sector as a whole.
