Meeting of the Agency’s officers with the representatives of the Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL)

Deputy director, Savo Milašinović, as well as the heads of Department for Information Technologies, Dušan Polović, Department for International Cooperation and Division for Control of Financing of Political Entities and Election Campaigns, Dušan Drakić, met the delegation of the Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL).

The goal of the meeting was the exchange of information and experience in terms of the implementation of the rule of law, as well as the assessment of needs aimed at the continuation of the support to further capacity development of the Agency and efficient implementation of the laws under its responsibility. Besides the mentioned representatives, the meeting was also attended by the representative of the U.S. Embassy, Ana Grgurević, while the INL delegation was composed of the officer for INL programme in Montenegro, Andrew Riedy and legal advisor, Roushani Mansoor.

The representatives of the Agency informed the members of the INL delegation and the U.S. Embassy about their recent activities and achieved results, as well as about the challenges and priorities in the forthcoming period. They also expressed their gratitude for the support provided by the US Embassy so far in the area of capacity development of this institution through the provision of expert and other types of support in various segments of work of the Agency. The importance of further development of the Agency’s information system was particularly emphasized, along with continued training of the Agency’s officers in terms of conducting administrative investigations.

Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) has been financing support programmes in the area of the rule of law in Montenegro for many years.
